Project Description

The CanCAST project was a successful strategy proposed to help the client sell more than 2,000 tickets in advance of their upcoming event. Originally, the client had planned to offer fishing tackle valued at $15,000 as a prize to a single winner during the event. To increase the incentive for customers to purchase tickets in advance, we proposed to give away $1,000 daily for 15 days leading up to the event. Our solution was cost-effective and allowed for more chances to win for potential customers. We planned to promote the event on Facebook and Instagram with a daily budget of $50.00 for 19 days. Our targeted audience size was between 995k-1,200k with a reach of 100,000.

However, the client changed the prize structure slightly to raffle off 10 prizes of $1,000 each and one prize of $5,000 on the day of the event. Despite this change, our promotional idea was successful and allowed the event to sell over 3,000 tickets in advance. The daily prize giveaways were a unique and effective way to create buzz around the event and increase ticket sales.

Our team’s strategy proved to be a successful approach to increasing ticket sales for events, and we are proud to have won a hackathon competition with this idea.
